What I want to say about Antonius is that he has been my closest friend for years. He is the first person whose likes I eagerly await on my messages, posts, poems, and political analyses of Chinese politics.
If the whole world wanted to convey a message to me, and even convince me of it, they would have to contact Antonius to deliver it. Antonius is my true key to connecting with the world and the West.
Perhaps this is what Antonius himself acknowledged in his writing and introduction to me: that the West sometimes disagrees with me because of my stance on China and its policies towards us in Egypt, the Middle East, and the region. But I say to the West, and to the United States itself, that I am very open to your people, and that my closest friends are among the most prominent and important American and European experts specializing in Chinese affairs.
I also have deep friendships with a number of leading politicians in the European Union and the United States. I am open to meeting with them, listening to them, and discussing their views on my specific academic specialization in Chinese politics and the policies of the ruling Communist Party in China.
I should mention that I am on almost all the international groups of the world’s leading experts specializing in Chinese affairs, most of whom are from the United States and European countries. We discuss these matters regularly.
My closest friends are from Europe, America, and the West.
And the renowned American physicist, Professor/ Andrew Beckwith,
is one of my closest friends. He considers me his only friend, and I have all his physics research papers, his students’ papers, and his conference materials from around the world. He considers me his confidante. This is understandable to American government circles after I sent an urgent letter to check on him following his disappearance for a period due to his illness.
What I want to say to the Americans and Europeans is that I am very open to listening to you, and yes, we often disagree. However, this disagreement is legitimate, given the right of our people in the Global South and the countries of the region to learn from a development model close to us – the Chinese model – while you show no interest in the conditions and development of our people, focusing instead solely on guiding us toward “human rights and democracy.” How can democracy and a culture of human rights coexist with impoverished people struggling for sustenance and survival?
Perhaps this is what China realized, and thus worked to promote its development model among the countries of the Global South, including my own country, Egypt, free from the constraints of Western and American political dictates and interference in our internal affairs. This is something we all reject.
Perhaps this is the secret I’m revealing for the first time in my discussions with senior American officials in the National Security Council: the popularity of the United States in our region is dwindling significantly due to our people’s aversion to its policies. My suggestion to them was to undertake large-scale development projects in Egypt, particularly in the poorest and most needy villages, so that my people and the people of my region might feel that the United States, as a superpower, has abandoned its culture of war, conflict, and rivalry. She began focusing on human development in her homeland, and indeed in all our Arab and African nations, as well as the developing countries of the Global South.
She also expressed her desire to work with her American and Western academic colleagues to develop an urgent development plan for our impoverished populations and to collaborate with the “Decent Life Initiative” launched by Egyptian President “Abdel Fattah El-Sisi” to develop poor and needy villages in Egypt.
I am publishing my message to the American administration and European Union officials… As the Egyptian and Arab academic most eager for you to listen and heed it, whether through your officials, ambassadors, or chargés d’affaires in Cairo… Expressing my strong openness to working with you to serve national and developmental projects in my beloved homeland, Egypt, and the “Decent Life Initiative” launched by Egyptian President “Abdel Fattah El-Sisi”. Regarding my readiness to provide you with innovative, diverse, and novel ideas, as a creative model for connecting with our peoples on a human level this time, through you and not through political dictates, to bring you closer to us:
This is the approach of humanity and the values of peace, love, and compassion to which I invite you. I extend my hand to you so that we may work together for the sake of human development in my country and in all our Arab nations. Welcome to work with us. My regards,

ما أود أن أقوله عن “أنطونيوس” إنه أقرب صديق لقلبى منذ سنوات. هو أول من أنتظر علامات إعجاب منه على رسائلى وبوستاتى وأشعارى وتحليلاتى السياسية عن الشأن السياسى الصينى.
لو أراد العالم كله إرسال مضمون رسالة لى بل وإقناعى بها، فلابد من التواصل مع “أنطونيوس” لإيصالها لى. إن أنطونيوس، هو مفتاح تواصلى الحقيقى مع العالم والغرب
ولعل هذا هو ما إعترف به “أنطونيوس” بنفسه فى كتابته وتعريفه بى، بأن الغرب أحياناً يختلف معى لأخذى موقف الصين وسياساتها معنا فى مصر والشرق الأوسط والمنطقة. ولكننى أقول للغرب وللولايات المتحدة الأمريكية نفسها، بأننى متفتحة للغاية على شعوبكم، وبأن أصدقائى المقربين للغاية هم أبرز وأهم الخبراء الأمريكان والأوروبيين المتخصصين فى الشؤون الصينية
كما تجمعنى صداقات عميقة مع عدد من أبرز الساسة فى الإتحاد الأوروبى والولايات المتحدة الأمريكية. كما أننى متفتحة للقاء معهم بل والإستماع والإنصات لهم ولمناقشة آرائهم حول تخصصى الأكاديمى الدقيق فى الشأن السياسى الصينى وسياسات الحزب الشيوعى الحاكم فى الصين
وأنوه بأننى تقريباً على معظم الجروبات العالمية لأبرز الخبراء فى العالم المتخصصين مثلى فى الشؤون الصينية، ومعظمهم من الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية ودول أوروبا. ونتناقش بشكل مستمر
وبأن أبرز المقربين منى من أوروبا وأمريكا والغرب
وبأن بروفيسور وعالم الفيزياء الأمريكى المشهور “أندرو بيكويث”

من أكثر الشخصيات المقربة لى، وهو يعتبرنى فى الوقت ذاته صديقته الوحيدة، وأحتفظ له بجميع أبحاث ورسائل الفيزياء الخاصة به أو بطلابه وبمؤتمراته حول العالم. ويعتبرنى كاتمة أسراره. وهو أمر مفهوم لدى الدوائر الحكومية الأمريكية بعد إرسالى خطاب عاجل للإطمئنان عليه بعد إختفائه لفترة نظراً لظروف مرضه
ما أود أن أقوله للأمريكان والأوروبيين… بأننى متفتحة للغاية للإستماع لكم، ونعم كثيراً ما نختلف. إلا أنه إختلاف مشروع بالنظر لأحقية شعوبنا فى الجنوب العالمى وبلدان المنطقة فى التعلم من نموذج تنموى قريب منا هو “النموذج الصينى”، مع عدم إهتمامكم بأحوال شعوبنا وتنميتهم، وبأن جل إهتمامكم منصب فقط على توجيهنا نحو “حقوق الإنسان والديمقراطية”…فكيف تتماشى الديمقراطية وثقافة حقوق الإنسان مع شعوب فقيرة تكافح فى سبيل لقمة العيش والحياة؟
ولعل هذا هو ما فطنت إليه الصين، فعملت على تنشيط نموذجها التنموى بين بلدان الجنوب العالمى، ومنها وطنى “مصر”… بعيداً عن مبدأ الإشتراطات السياسية الخارجية الغربية والأمريكية والتدخل فى شئوننا الداخلية. وهو ما نرفضه جميعاً
ولعل هذا هو السر الذى أذيعه لأول مرة بمخاطبتى مسئولين بارزين أمريكان فى “الأمن القومى الأمريكى”… بأن شعبية الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية فى منطقتنا متضائلة بشكل كبير بالنظر لكره شعوبنا لسياستها. وكان إقتراحى عليهم عمل مشروعات تنموية كبيرة فى مصر وفى القرى الفقيرة والأكثر إحتياجاً كى يشعر شعبى وشعوب منطقتى بأن الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية كقوى عظمى قد تخلت عن ثقافة الحروب والصراع والتنافس. وبدأت تهتم ببناء الإنسان فى وطنى بل وفى كل أوطاننا العربية والأفريقية وبلدان الجنوب العالمى النامى
كما أعربت عن رغبتى فى العمل مع زملائى الأكاديميين الأمريكان والغربيين فى وضع خطة تنموية عاجلة لتنمية شعوبنا الفقيرة والعمل مع “مبادرة حياة كريمة” التى أعلن عنها الرئيس المصرى “عبد الفتاح السيسى” لصالح تنمية القرى الفقيرة والمحتاجة فى مصر
وأنشر رسالتى للإدارة الأمريكية ولمسئولى الإتحاد الأوروبى… بإعتبارى أنا الأكاديمية المصرية والعربية الأكثر حرصاً من جانبكم على الإستماع والإنصات لها، سواء عبر مسئوليكم أو سفراءكم والقائمين بأعمال سفاراتكم فى القاهرة… بإنفتاحى الشديد على العمل معكم لصالح خدمة المشروعات القومية والتنموية فى وطنى الحبيب “مصر” ومبادرة “حياة كريمة” التى أعلن عن تدشينها الرئيس المصرى “عبد الفتاح السيسى”. وعن إستعدادى لإمدادكم بأفكار مبتكرة ومختلفة وجديدة، كنموذج مبتكر للتواصل مع شعوبنا إنسانياً هذه المرة من خلالكم، وليس عبر إملاءات سياسية، لتقربكم منا

我想说的是，安东尼乌斯多年来一直是我最亲密的朋友。他是我最期待点赞的人，无论是我的信息、帖子、诗歌，还是对中国政治的分析，我都翘首以盼。
如果全世界都想向我传达信息，甚至说服我接受某个观点，他们都必须联系安东尼乌斯才能传达。安东尼乌斯是我与世界和西方沟通的真正桥梁。
或许安东尼乌斯本人在他的文章和介绍中也承认了这一点：西方有时会因为我对中国及其在埃及、中东和该地区的政策的立场而与我意见相左。但我对西方，尤其是对美国，表示我非常乐于与你们交流，而且我最亲密的朋友都是美国和欧洲最杰出、最重要的中国问题专家。
我与欧盟和美国的一些重要政治人物也保持着深厚的友谊。我乐于与他们会面、倾听他们的观点，并探讨他们对我所专攻的中国政治和中国共产党政策的看法。
值得一提的是，我几乎加入了所有由世界顶尖中国问题专家组成的国际小组，其中大多数成员来自美国和欧洲国家。我们定期讨论这些问题。
我最亲密的朋友来自欧洲、美国和西方国家。
还有著名的美国物理学 家安德鲁·贝克威斯教授，
他是我最亲密的朋友之一。他视我为他唯一的朋友，我保存着他所有的物理研究论文、他学生的论文以及他在世界各地参加的会议资料。他视我为知己。在他因病失踪一段时间后，我曾紧急致信询问他的情况，美国政府对此应该能够理解。
我想对美国人和欧洲人说的是，我非常愿意倾听你们的意见，是的，我们经常意见不合。然而，这种分歧是合理的，因为全球南方和本地区国家的人民有权学习与我们相近的发展模式——中国模式——而你们却对我们人民的境况和发展漠不关心，只专注于引导我们走向“人权和民主”。民主和人权文化如何能与挣扎求生的贫困人民共存呢？
或许中国正是意识到了这一点，因此致力于在全球南方国家，包括我的祖国埃及，推广其发展模式，使其摆脱西方和美国政治指令的束缚，以及对我们内政的干涉。而这正是我们所有人都不愿看到的。
或许，这正是我在与美国国家安全委员会高级官员的会谈中首次揭示的秘密：由于我们地区的人民对美国政策的反感，美国在我们地区的支持率正在大幅下降。我向他们建议在埃及开展大规模发展项目，尤其是在最贫困、最需要帮助的村庄，这样我的人民以及我们地区的人民就能感受到，美国作为一个超级大国，已经放弃了其战争、冲突和对抗的文化。美国开始关注其祖国的人类发展，实际上也关注我们所有阿拉伯和非洲国家以及全球南方发展中国家的人类发展。
她还表达了与美国和西方学术界同仁合作的愿望，希望为埃及贫困人口制定一项紧急发展计划，并与埃及总统阿卜杜勒·法塔赫·塞西发起的“体面生活倡议”合作，共同发展埃及贫困和需要帮助的村庄。
