Dr. Nadia Helmy is a distinguished Professor of Political Science at Beni Suef University, Egypt, and a globally recognized authority on Asian Affairs and Chinese Political Systems. As a leading expert on the Communist Party of China (CCP), her work serves as a vital bridge between the Middle East and the shifting power dynamics of the Global South.

In 2026, her analysis remains at the forefront of documenting the “strategic shift” in international relations, particularly concerning Sino-Arab diplomacy and the evolving role of mediation in regional conflicts. While her academic career focuses on the cold calculations of realpolitik and asymmetric warfare, her literary work reveals the human heart behind the “art of war.” Dr. Helmy’s verse serves as both a strategic warning and a philosophical dance between the necessity of defense and the ultimate sanctity of peace.
(WERE IT NOT FOR WARS, PEACE WOULD NEVER HAVE DANCED)
By Poet, Dr. Nadia Helmy
Don’t be fooled by the beauty of my face and dream, for I am a wise man for battles I am prepared, and I have a long history of defeating any enemy, smiling. I draw my battles on paper, and secretly prepare an army to triumph… Despite my faith in Sartre, I reject his absurdity. I am not convinced by Sartre’s ideology and his cynicism, after France was defeated at Waterloo without salvation.
I give you this advice without waiting for the price. I will never sacrifice myself, as you can see, as long as my faith in my thought is diminished. Do not pay attention to betrayal, my dear, but go ahead and triumph. Prepare your armies for the assault and wait… Stay a little while until the enemy surprises you, then rise up. How many battles have been ignited for no reason, despite the slim chances.
Even though you accepted my challenge, I will not give up and grant you the honor of trying with me. My rivalry is too honorable for a fool to throw his ears out in public… Listen a little, young man. Those fortresses have fallen. Those wars are a reckless art that begins with a word and ends without victory or hope. Without wars, no peace would have danced.
Don’t rush into a war, my friend, just to prove that you are stronger and more than enough. Prepare your mind for defeat first. Don’t extend your hand in peace to someone who betrayed your trust behind your back. And the price was seized on your ruins… Give me your mind in maturity, at the time of reckoning, my son, after the battles nothing will end before it, and flee your feelings to yourself, for war consumes the fertile and the stories.
